Can You Hear God's Voice?

Many years ago, I met a man who'd been a Youth Pastor in the halfway house (church). He religiously read his Bible, paid his tithes, said his prayers and attended every Sunday.

When I met him, he had been convicted of molesting a ten year old girl and had been released from serving his two year prison sentence a short time before, and he'd renounced his faith and is now an atheist. When I asked him why, he answered angrily, "Because God never spoke to me!"

God then spoke to me and said, "That's because He's too full of himself and his mind is too corrupted, blinded, deceived, governed and ruled by thoughts that come from the characteristic pride, vanity, envy, selfishness, ambition, lust, greed, desire for creature comfort and fear for survival of the carnal, instinctual, egoistic nature of his flesh, I couldn't get a word in!"

If you haven't heard God speak to you, then you need to be capable of hearing Him and discerning His virtuous thoughts from your own.

Be still, and know that I am God.Psalm 46:10

It's written, that Satan is our enemy, but the vast majority of people, including ALL the religious egos and lukewarm fence sitters in the halfway house, who never had the courage & faith (virtue) to forsake all and WALK the narrow path of TRUE discipleship and are ALL false disciples, have no idea that it is the character that is manifest/forged from the characteristic pride, vanity, envy, selfishness, ambition, lust, greed, desire for creature comfort and/or fear for survival of the carnal, instinctual, egoistic (self-centered & self-righteous) nature of our flesh, and while God named it Satan, man calls it ego, and therefore YOU are your own worst enemy and it's your ego that perceives others to be your enemy because they won't go along with what YOU WANT out of your selfish ambition, lust, greed, desire or fear, etc., and makes you an enemy of God (in opposition to true love and virtue).

Yes, it's YOUR ego that causes you to commit sinful/criminal acts and is so loud and demanding for its wicked (unvirtuous) lusts, desires & fears, etc. to be soothed, satiated and satisfied, you can't hear the soft, gentle, virtuous thoughts that come from the Great Omniscient Deity of absolute, undying, true love and majestic virtuousness, and if you truly want to hear Him and live in heaven on earth or anywhere else, you MUST overcome the carnal, instinctual, egoistic (self-centered) nature of your flesh and your character must be cleansed of every spot, stain, mark and blemish of its characteristic pride, vanity, envy, selfishness, ambition, lust, greed, desire for creature comfort and fear for survival, and your character must shine with true love's characteristic virtues. In short, you MUST get over yourself, absolutely!

"Assuredly, I say to you, unless your nature is transformed and become as little children (without the slightest spot, stain, mark or blemish of the characteristics of the carnal, instinctual, egoistic nature of the flesh), you will BY NO MEANS enter the kingdom of heaven."Matthew 18:3

"For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the (carnal, instinctual, egoistic) things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the (virtuous) things (characteristics/fruits) of the Spirit (Divine Nature). For to be carnally (instinctually, & egoistically) minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal (instinctual, egoistic) mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law (virtues) of God (absolute love), nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh (corrupted, blinded, deceived, governed & ruled by their instincts & ego) cannot please God."Romans 8:5-8

GENEROSITY

Generosity is giving and sharing. You share freely, not with the idea of receiving something in return. You find ways to lift the spirit of others, and give just for the joy of sharing. Generosity is one of the best ways to show love and kindness.

But a generous man devises generous things, and by generosity he shall stand.Isaiah 32:8

Challenge yourself to be aware of any and all opportunities to practice and apply generosity in your life this week, and the times you should have, but didn't because of the characteristic pride, vanity, envy, selfishness, ambition, lust, greed, desire for creature comfort and/or fear for survival of the carnal, instinctual, egoistic (self-centered) nature of your flesh.
